Haven't bought a loaf from a shop since we got the breadmaker. Haven't smelt or tasted bread like this since I was a small boy in the local baker's. The bread we're eating is fresher, more nutritional and half the price - with all the work and complexity of turning on a microwave.

Very simple to use although the recipes in the booklet didn't produce very good results. Used another book I received free with the make and the results have been spot on. Used daily for first week, now apx 3 loaves per week.

All breads so far baked are very solid and heavy, does not seem possible to get light 'fluffy' bread or a deep brown crust

Makes fine bread
By BigglesVerified Reviewer from Wiltshire on 2/10/2008
Pros:
Consistency, Simple Settings
Cons:
No viewing light
Best Uses:
Loaves
Describe Yourself:
Avid Cook
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This unit makes fine bread. Its more about a few things that are not so good really. No viewing light means you have difficulty watching the fascinating process. The crust selection could be useful but pale is very pale and highest setting seems about right for most things. The recipe book supplied does not match the unit and needs experimentation with quantities etc but Kenwoods website gives good working recipes. GO ON bake some bread but forget diets!

Not as good as the old one - Kenwood!

I use the product to make a variety of breads..
It does not have the functions of the old machine..(1)It cannot be delayed on 'rise' setting or (2) extra baking toward the end of the cycle. (3) Annoying the display is not illuminated at all! (All found on my Kenwood bread machine!

Very good but not 100% happy with it

Cons:
Noisy, Sounds tinny
Best Uses:
Gluten Free Bread

It is a great breadmixer for my gluten free bread but it sounds quite 'tinney'when mixing. Also my main gripe is the kneader paddle gets baked in the bread and you land up with a loaf with a big hole in the middle. The bread itself is really great spoilt by this one problem. For me I still think it was a good buy as nothing is perfect these days.

Steady and reliable

It is easy to follow the recipes and to use; it mixes the ingredients well; it turns out a consistently good loaf and the fast bake programme really works and saves time. All in all, a really useful machine. I use it most days and it looks stylish on the worktop. A great addition to the home and to healthy living.

As easy as loading the washing machine
By Mark BeeVerified Reviewer from Suffolk on 1/14/2008
Pros:
Consistency, Delicious Bread, Simple Settings
Cons:
Removing bread from tin
Best Uses:
Fresh white loaf daily
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Perfect bread every single time, very simple to use and cheaper than buying bread from the shops, and it tastes better too. The only bad thing I can say is that the mixing paddle gets stuck inside the bottom of the loaf, making it very difficult to get the loaf out of the tin, and when you eventually do get it out there is a hole where the paddle was.Saying that,I have never used another bread maker and perhaps they all get stuck to the mixing paddle.

Kenwood Breadmaker BM350

Pros:
Compact Storage, Easy to use
Cons:
Lacks Variety, Not many recipes
Best Uses:
Loaves
Describe Yourself:
Casual Cook
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The product is not bad but for its price it doesn't have much more than the cheaper breadmakers you get from the large supermarkets, only simple recipes were published with the breadmaker operating instructions and when i went onto the website were it said more were available the recipes were not that good, also the one we wanted was wrong it instructed us to use a wrong setting for the breadmaker also to use the wrong amount of salt which we did and had to throw away the bread which took almost 5 hours to make!! My friend had a cheaper make and had hundreds of recipes available for their specific bread machine and i thought Kenwood was a good make and should of supplied lots of recipes.

We use it for everyday bread, and have enjoyed trying variations of this. Best is the milk loaf. Hole left by the dough paddle is a pain, as was the measuring spoon whose markings rubbed off! Kenwood were happy to send out another for free.

The Free book is a waste of time. Most of the menus in it are for useing an oven to finish.
The book always shows yeast to go first, yet all
recipies in the downloaded Kenwood book always shows water first, also the instructions that came with the machine.
The A4 instruction sheet showing stages 1-20 is incorrect as far as item 14 ( start ) is concerned. The machine shows the start button as an triangle pointing to the right, sheet shows a circle with a vertical line in the middle.
Finally how on earth is one supposed to measure accuratly, 315 or 255 or 280 ml in that plastic beaker supplied. You keep mentioning to measure accuratly, so provide an Accurate measuring device. Finally it would be a good idea to provide 2 measuring spoons, one for liquid, the other for salt and yeast etc.
After all that its a great machine.

Our Morphy Richards died so I decided to change makes. The Kenwood makes much nicer bread and the recipes seem identical, how does that work?

The only thing I dislike about this is the non fold down mixer that the Morphy Richards had, a really good idea but no other company seems to do it. Why not???
