I use the breadmaker every day, sometimes twice if needed. All my family have had problems with shop bought bread and we thought we would give homemade a try.The machine is great, but you must stick to the recipes exactly to get a good result.
The only downer ,is the paddle that mixes the dough, which does not drop down as in more expensive modals. As a result, you are left with a hole in the bottom of the loaf.
Overall ,considering the price, this is a great machine.
We love home made bread (the easy way) and having our kitchen filled with the aroma of baking bread
A joy to use! Extremely simple as long as you follow instrcutions. Being a throw it all in cook - this doesn't work ... changes to the recipe simply give poor results. But when you follow instructions its makes a fab loaf! Timer facility great so you can have freshly made bread in the morning. For the price I don't think you can beat it!
i am dissapointed that the paddle remains in the bottom of the loaf and has to be dug out, thus spoiling the bottom of the loaf.My brown loaf comes out like a brick, but the white loaf (with the holey bottom) after much practise is a winner.
Still experimenting with various breads. Found it easy to use with good instructions and recipes. Good results so far.
Really pleased with this purchase - bought as a gift to ourselves and the results have been fantastic. Fresh bread smelling through the house event overpowers the kids trainers!!!

I bought this machine on the recommendation of my son in law & I'm delighted I did. It is so easy to use, all the measuring implements are included so no mistakes with quantities of ingredients & the recipes are a doddle to follow. And the taste!! Can't wait for the loaves/rolls to cool so that we can get started on them. Ate twice as much bread for a couple of weeks due to the novelty but now back to normal (well, more or less). The only negative comment is that it is a pretty large item & takes up a lot of cupboard space. I'm not one for having equipment standing on the benches (tidy-mania)but if you don't have a lot of cupboard space you may need to take that option. I find it easy to clean & I like the coolwall feature. I would say that it's excellent value & worth every penny just to have the taste of real bread & not the tasteless but expensive stuff that you get in the supermarkets.
Very easy to use.
We use this every day - even twice a day. We run a B&B and this is great for making bread that we know exactly what goes into it. We typically use it for a large white loaf and a large brown loaf (with grains) and 95% it comes out really well. Sometimes the top of the loaf falls but even then its great for toast!
It is also really useful for when we make French sticks (or rolls) - just flour, water, yeast and a bit of salt - leave it to churn away for a while and then pull out the dough, shape it into a stick and wow - you could be in la belle France. The best book we have found - Breadmachine Book by Shapter - is also pretty cheap and is available at National Trust shops.
I've heard so many people say they try a breadmaker once and then leave it in the cupboard - well get it out and try again - its great.
Only found one little probelem, at two corners of the bottom of the loaf the dough is not completely mixed, showing a small white patch.
The loaf tin is too tall, makes diffculty in hand cutting a slice, cheap and as used bread making takes practice to get right consitence.
A few friends have breadmakers, but all have different brands. I could not decide which to buy. I read a review whch recommended Morphy Richards, so I chose that brand. I am so pleased with my choice. My husband thinks the bread is great! I made a fruit cake to the given recipe. It was rather overdone on the outside, but it tastes delicious.

A roaring success - can't believe I waited so long to get one. Easy to use & easy to clean. Makes delicious bread and I know what went into it! Now working my way down the recipe booklet. Haven't bought a loaf of bread since I got it. No cons that I can see
No more shop bought bread for me.
Easy to use, makes delicious bread, i've not bought any bread since it arrived 6 weeks ago. The novelty hasn't worn off becuse the machine is so easy to use.
one word of advice use the light crust setting for all bread as it is just right!!
This must be the fourth or fifth breadmaker I've had, and it's as good as the best so far. I haven't tried absolutely every program, but the ones I have work well. The recipes and instructions supplied with it are not as clear as they could be though, and I ended up using my old recipes instead.
I make white bread to my own recipe and it works well, also wholemeal and multy grain bread.I have had three Breadmakers over the years, and would not be without one.
Great product ([...])Haven't bought a loaf of bread since, the smell of fresh bread every day is just divine!
I bought one of these breadsmakers a couple of years ago and it's still as good as new despite being used several times a week. Recently I gave my neighbour some of my brown bread and she liked it so much she asked me to get her the same machine.[...] I often make bread with spelt flour (as I can't buy spelt bread locally) but it's great for all types of bread and the instructions are very easy to follow.
yummy bread, easy to use by technophobes
the bread from the simple instructions is always light and fluffy and the timer delay function is perfect for the busy household
I use the machine every day, it's absolutely wonderful. So easy to use, once you become confident measuring, it takes minutes to put in the ingredients and away you go. The smell is superb especially when you return home after a few hours at the gym. Cleaning is a doddle. Can't think of anything I don't like about it at all. I had read reports that it was quite noisy but haven't found this myself. My work colleagues have tasted the results and are now proud owners themselves.
This breadmaker is so simple to use & produces consistent results. Good modern design...Great value for money...easy to clean. Taste the difference, yum yum.
This is my second Morphy Richards Breadmaker. The first one I had for several years before it went wrong. I use it a great deal especially for making the dough before cooking it in the oven. Because I use it for lots of events I often need to make large amounts of dough for rolls. However, when entertaining there is nothing better then the smell of freshly cooked bread.
One thing that did happen in the last machine was the turning device got stuck in the bread container so that I was unable to remove it for cleaning and it was this part that eventually broke, but this was after four years.
I can highly recommend this machine.
great product(so my wife tells me!)....i now wake in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread all done on the timer... the envy of the office with my super healthy sandwiches that taste fantastic.
- Easy to use
- Fastbake great feature (although bread not as good)
- Lid very poor fit (does not align properly)
Used it loads, not needed to clean it yet!, Measuring aids very useful and simple to use. Window so bread can be monitored while baking. Delayed timer function amazing- fresh bread first thing in the morning!Cant use timer if adding ingredients such as olives, raisens, but excellent value, quiet, decent sized loaves
I can make a loaf in the time it takes to get in the car and go to the shop to buy one! It is very satisfying making your own bread and you know that your own bread contains only the ingredients that you put into the machine. This machine is very good value.
We had one of these three years ago and used it 5-7 times per week. Finally, it just wore out. And as were were so pleased with it we just had to replace it with an identical model. Happy again. Good tasty, fresh bread. What more can you want?? Sister-in-law and mother also have one of these. Would recommend.
It can be used for making all types of bread and rolls.
it is very stright forwood to use and its bread lasts longger than shop bread
fantastic buy. bought 2, one for home and one for mum.

I bought this to replace an earlier model of Morphy Richards Breadmaker that I was very satisfied with (until it broke down!). I needed to be able to store it in a kitchen cupboard when not in use, which precluded many other makes of Breadmaker as they are too tall. It's very easy to use and has more choices than my previous model, e.g. colour of crust, but the baking times are far too long, resulting in rather dry, overcooked loaves when cooked on the timer. It is possible to switch the machine off before the baking cycle has finished but I really liked coming down in the morning to a freshly-cooked loaf without the hassle of standing over the machine.
I received this as a Christmas present and have used it twice in a week. I have made one loaf of bread and made the dough for my dumplings in it. Both have been perfect. It is very easy to clean afterwards and easy to programme.
Used every other day for a variety of recipes - wholemeal, with rye, with walnuts, with seeds, French... etc. Easy to use, window in lid helpful, reliable. Morphy Richards are good at replacing worn parts, but heavy use means that it doesn't last forever.
