This is my second machine of this type. I use it to make cappuccino every morning. It produces good espresso, aerates milk well, and makes delicious hot chocolate. The motor makes some noise, but that is to be expected. The end of the milk nozzle has to be removed to clean it properly, but again, what else would you expect at this price?

We bought the Cappuccino maker because we like Cappuccino and the DeLonghi was a reasonable price. It has not disappointed although has some draw-backs. The low height of the pouring nozzles means that you cannot get mugs underneath them - and if you want two cups then you cannot use the wide coffee cups because there isn't enough room for two wide cups side by side because of the position of the frothing nozzle. In use the machine makes reasonable coffee - but there is no 'crema' to speak of. When the pump is operating, the machine buzzes and rattles so much that the cups will move out from under the nozzles unless they are manually held in place. Not a great hardship but disappointing. The frother is excellent and produces plenty of good froth once you have mastered the technique!

It has become our daily treat to have a professional, good tasting coffee, with froth. We have got into a routine so don't find it as messy as we did when we first used it and as we are retired we can spend time making it & keeping it clean. We like the fact that it takes up so little surface space and we can leave it out. We found suitable cups and a jug that fitted under it we really enjoy using it.
It would not be ideal if you had limited time or liked to have a jug of coffee always on a hot plate.

This device needs preheating for an half an hour - to have a good taste of coffee, I have a timer to switch it on early in the morning; in general, no big disadvantages

We love our coffee maker, it is small and therefore easy to keep on the worktops, easy to clean and makes just the right amount of coffee. It is easy to clean and looks good. Great value for money

Excellent machine, possibly better steam pressure than most, makes great espresso or capucino though in limited quantity. No good for a dinner party - would take too long for more than a couple of cups - but OK for one or two cups. The milk frother is a bit tricky to clean, but this is probably true for most of this type of machine, though the rest of the machine is easy to care for. Good value for money, highly recommended if you want a small coffee maker.

Great little unit for the home. Very easy to use and clean. All you have to do is buy good coffee beans or pre-ground coffee and you will enjoy espresso or Cappucino just the way you like it.
