No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The water container is not conveniently placed, the drip tray has to be removed and the two water pipes have to be jiggled into the water container before you can start brewing, which is very fiddly. Returned to Gaggia once because the pipes dropped down! You have to unscrew the brewing head to clean. Not very professional or convenient, and not as impressed as I was with my first Gaggia.
