No, I would not recommend this to a friend
We bought this machine in October 2007, the coffee maker produces lovely coffee, however, if you want to produce froth for more than one cup of coffee you will be sadly disappointed.
The machine has been back to Gaggia twice, firstly because of a faulty switch and then for a constant drip which developed after its second visit to the Gaggia workshop.
My advice would be to pick another product!!
