If you are looking for a totally automatic coffee machine, then this is not for you, but if you want great coffee,it is the best machine in this price range for the job.Making americano and expresso is very quick and easy, but if you want cappachino you have to switch over to steam and wait for the tempeture to rise, this takes less than a minute and if you like it hot and frothy you leave the jug of milk under the steam nozzle longer. I bought this machine because I wanted a 1940s Paris cafe theme in my kitchen and the black and silver boxlike machines did not fit in with this. I love the look of my Cafe Retro and the bonus is, it makes great coffee.

This machine is beautiful and feels and looks far more superior to others twice the price. However,you can not make the coffee and froth the milk at the same time. You also have to wait once the coffee is brewed, for the machine to reach a higher temperature for the frother. The results are worth it if you are not in a rush.
