Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I have been using Philips Sonicare brushes for a few years now and got this one as a replacement to one of the 1st versions of the sonicare. Its a lot smaller and fits better in your hand. Works really well and I do feel its far better then brushing with a normal toothbrush. Only problems I have had is that sometimes the battery only lasts about 2 weeks, not great when travelling and water gets in to the lower bit of the brush. Does not stop it working, but it means you need to clean it out every once in a while.
Overall, way better then a standard electric brush.
