Essential for Kenwood users
By DustyVerified Reviewer from Northern Ireland on 8/6/2008
Pros:
Dishwasher Safe, Handles Tough Jobs, Handy Size Jars, Multiple storage jars
Cons:
Cleaning
Best Uses:
Grinding, Making pastes
Describe Yourself:
Avid Cook
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

You need to take your time (and have time) to clean this item properly after use, but it's a brilliant bit of kit. Useful to have extra glass storage jars with sturdy lids. If you need to drizzle ingredients into a paste during blending then use the blender or the processor - this is a 'chuck-it-all-in-at-once-and-then-grind' tool.
Does exactly what it says on the box.

Caveat Emptor - Dont Buy this

Caveat Emptor, Dont waste your money buy a better product, (I am still searching) Shame on Kenwood to market such a badly designed, leaking, complicated product.

Almost Great
By TimelordVerified Reviewer from Spain on 6/20/2008
Pros:
Great multi purpose mill
Cons:
Impossible to clean
Best Uses:
Baby food, Grinding, Mincing, Sauces
Describe Yourself:
Avid Cook
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Unfortunately Kenwood have chosen to reduce leakage problems by making two interlocking pieces. Problem is that the jar is now fixed and food gets between the milling jar and the seal. It's IMPOSSIBLE to clean well. Such a shame.

unnecessary jars
By RonVerified Reviewer from Lancaster UK on 6/18/2008

Pity that you can't have this multi-mill without the additional glass jars at a lower price, as they are no use to me. The mill is used principally for grinding coffee which it does better than our previous stand-alone coffee grinder

good gadget but a little disappointed
By DSVerified Purchaser from Barcelona on 6/9/2008
Pros:
Great at milling
Cons:
Difficult to clean well, Interlock version clumsy
Best Uses:
Baby foods, Making sauces, Milling coffee spices
Describe Yourself:
Avid Cook
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The old version was better. You could mill in any jar and put lids directly onto jar to store but the new INTERLOCK version does not allow this. The milling jar is more or less stuck to an interlocking skirt, so anything you mill has to be poured into another jar to save. This is messy and you lose half of the contents. Worse than this, the skirt is not properly sealed so bits of food get stuck in the seal making it impossible to clean well.

I understand that the new system is safer than the old system but it is flawed. Still, it works well enough if you have patience cleaning. If you can find an original non-interlock version, go for that.

leaky kenwood
By James LeesVerified Reviewer from Scotland on 3/18/2008
Pros:
Dishwasher Safe, Handles Tough Jobs, Powerful Motor
Cons:
Loose Seal
Describe Yourself:
Gourmet Cook
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I don't see the need for the complex plastic seal with two bracers - a rubber ring would have done the job better - I have not dared to use piquids in it as even coffee getsw between the glass and the seal, and spills out when I take the appliance off the machine.

Good kit- bulky seal design
By DigizzVerified Reviewer from UK on 1/28/2008
Pros:
Great size for small stuf, High Quality
Cons:
Clumsybulky seal, Difficult to remove jar
Best Uses:
Mincing chopping grind
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great device for mincing, chopping, grinding small quantities of ingredients, spices etc. Spare jars with lids are useful BUT I found removing the jar from the base and seal to be very difficult as it's VERY tight. I ended up splitting the seal.[...]Food also gets between the seal and base unit which can be very difficult to get out without taking the whole assembly apart which can be awkward.Overall, good kit but poor seal design.

Neat gadget
By Alfred the GreatVerified Reviewer from Brighton, UK on 12/31/2007
Pros:
Durable, High Quality
Cons:
Won't do mayo
Best Uses:
Pesto, Spice mill
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Another quality product from kenwood. .

Great for ginding small qualities of anything.

Only drawback is that all ingredients need to be added at the start ie. no possibility of drisling. So emulsification is a problem which is a pity as this size vessel would be ideal for that purpose.

Still it does what it does very well.
