Seems to work exactly as advertised. If you already own the Kenwood Chef then it makes much more sense than a dedicated ice cream maker.

Much easier to use than my old stand alone ice cream maker. Produces much smoother ice creams. The smoothest we have tasted.

However long you keep the bowl in the freezer, it does not keep cold enough to make ice cream when room temperature is hot. An acceptable texture can be achieved by freezing the mixture afterwards. Excellent for whipping cream!

Stirer snapped on first use, ........

All went well until the ice cream started to set, the plastic stirrer just snapped. Best to look for another way to make ice cream.
