My mum had one of these and I'm so pleased I've got my own now. I like cooking but also like to save time on the tedious tasks like mixing and the Kenwood is great for this. I also have a small food processor but it is no good for gentle mixing and has much less capacity

I thought at first I would have a problem as the tools did not reach to the bottom of the mix, resulting in it sticking to the bowl, however, after a call to their customer service helpline I was told how to adjust the height of the whisk etc. It is now mixing perfectly and saves my arm from getting cramp!

I had a Kenwood Chefette for years and was reluctant to take on a larger, heavier machine. However it is great for mixing cakes and even, to my surprise, makes pastry and scones well. It has turned me into an avid breadmaker as it is so easy to use. I like the fact that the height of the beater can be adjusted to ensure that no mixture is left at the bottom of the bowl.

I love my Kenwood. This one was bought to replace the one I bought in 1977. Only criticism is that the whisk rotator still revolves when liquidising. The old machine dis-engaged this motor when liquidiser is in use.
Otherwise, very pleased and wouldn't be without it. It would be nice to have a splash guard that fitted though!

This is a great basic mixer and what's more it comes with a stainless steel bowl which is a great deal better than the plastic options, a liquidizer and a splash guard. So far I've used it for simple baking such as biscuits, cakes and pastry and its made a really good job. you can also buy extra add on gadgets to use such as mincer, juicer so it is a good all rounder.

My chef also came fitted with a splash gaurd which is great no messy flour everywhere just lift small lip and pour into mix easy i have not found anything to complain about so far and don't think i ever will.

I use it for making muesli, it ensures an even distribution of ingredients. The chef is at its best for cake making whether it is creaming butter and sugar, whisking eggs or mixing. I specially like the small lid on the cover which allows the introduction of additional ingredients while still gently mixing. My previous chef was about 30 years old I'm looking forward to a long and happy relationship with my new chef.

Easy to clean, easy to use, makes light work of heavy jobs. Whisking cream, making butter icing, great results. The variable speeds give you fantastic results everytime, whatever job you are using it for. Well worth the investment - it is an investment. This is a sturdy machine and the first one I have owned. My mum had one that lasted well over 20 years. This was the only encouragement I needed to buy one of my own.

An excellent machine for general kitchen use. The liquidiser is superb for making soups.
As the mixer is rather heavy it needs to be left out on the work-surface so a dust cover would be a useful addition at the time of purchase.
The various attachments are quite difficult to remove and doing so is rather a messy business but this does not detract from the overall quality of the mixer

This replaced a Processor which was much more difficult to clean and had a thin plastic bowl which easily cracked. The Kenwood regularly does me 2 large loaves at a time, but with slightly longer kneading times for the wholemeal (41/2 mins)than suggested by Kenwood. I wouldn't change back. The liquefier gets used a lot for soups. The only other attachment I am likely to get is a shredder for vegetables, then the old processor can really go.

Although an excellnt product in build quality, its flaw is that it does not "scrape" all of the bits off the side of the mixing bowl. Particularly annoying when mixing batter or sponge.
