So far the machine has coped well with cake mix, cream, bread dough and soup. You dont need a bread machine as this does the trick. The results have been very good. It is an attractive product that is very versitile.

Brilliant machine
By sharkyVerified Reviewer from shetland on 4/12/2008
Pros:
Handles Tough Jobs, Powerful Motor, Quiet
Cons:
Very heavy to move about
Best Uses:
Mixing heavy cake recipes
Describe Yourself:
Avid Cook
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this as a replacement for an older model which couldn't handle the mixes for the wedding cakes I've been making lately. I have not been disappointed, the stronger motor is a major improvement. The only thing is that for elderly or people with a less than strong grip is that the machine is quite heavy to move about.

Cons:
Have to scrape sides
Best Uses:
Baking
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

before getting this product I very rarely baked, now I cant stop, it is easy to set up, easy to use, and a million times better than electric hand held whisk, the only problem I have encountered is that occasionally you have to scrape the mixture away from the sides and back into the bowl in order for it to mix correctly, but hey, its worth it! FAB FAB FAB

[...]Looks good. Not quite sure yet if it will last 30+ years like the last Kenwood Chef did! That was still working fine and felt slightly better in some respects. Only time will tell. The electrical switch on the new one feels wobbly compared to the old, more mechanical one. Pulse feature on new one is a good feature. New Flexible K beater a good idea. Supplied glass liquidiser is a quality attachment.

An excellent multi use mixer. The new ones are quieter than our last seventeen year old one and the old attachments fit too.

Pros:
Powerful Motor
Cons:
Paint chips off easily

Absolutely excellent machine at a great price. Highly recommended.

Only fault is the quality of paint finish, which chipped after first use, where slash gaurd snaps to the body.
