I like this iron very much as I have a small curtain making business the only draw back is the cord from the iron to the generator is far too short. What a pity!! If I had to choose again Iam afraid I would have to look for another make SORRY

When you open the box, the iron seems large and heavy. But in fact, it is easy to use and very versatile. It has fantastically powerful steam production. Worth every penny.

I find the iron a good buy. It is a little heavy and a bit unhandy, perhaps this is because it is my first steam generator iron. It takes a few moments to get used to. Don't know if I need another iron board to maximise steam and if it would improve ironing on linen and cotton (curtains etc.) Overall I am happy with it but not sure if a new normal steam iron could have made it for me for a lot less money

It does what is says it will do, and does it very well. You need to be aware that a generator iron is much larger than a conventional steam iron and will not fit snugly in the cupboard under the sink! It also needs a stronger ironing board and it creates a lot of steam. You also need to adapt your ironing technique to go much faster. Those are the 'picky' bits. Once you've coped with all that, it really will halve your ironing time and give you better results. It even allows you to iron materials that are creased and bone dry. We love it!

This iron is great. It does exactly what it says it will. The constant steam button is a real timesaver when ironing really creased items. The cord could be a bit longer but overall fantastic. I would recommend this to someone looking to purchase an iron.

I bought the Simac Dual Steam Generator.
By MohitVerified Reviewer from London, England on 11/28/2007
Pros:
Time-saver
Best Uses:
At Home
Describe Yourself:

I bought the Simac Dual steam generator. Admitedly it worked well initially, then problems started in about 2 months time. Water would leak from the soleplate while ironing, the sole plate would not glide a smoothly as advised in the adverts. I understood from the advert there would be no scaling due to dual chamber. Not quite true, I had scaling & sediments would come on clothes being ironed, I have started using a descaler.
It is still better than conventional irons, but given the problems I have had & the cost all I can hope is that it was a problem with one piece not the model.

Exceeded my expectations

Easy, simple instructions prior to use. Controls are excellent and steam efficient at all settings. The iron is a comfortable weight. Does what it says. The efficiency reduces ironing time - some items require only one side ironing and linen is effortless to decrease.
A remarkable product.
