No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The steam control button is in an awkard place - on top of the iron - though the steam can be turned on and off unlike in the previous model. Steam button on more expensive models is under handle so you can press it while you are holding the iron. No water tank, you fill the boiler (also very small capacity 0.5l) directly and you cant open/refill it until it has completely cooled -
