Cons:
Worktop space eater
Best Uses:

I use it for juicing fruit and veg, especially good for using up surplus fruit or veg. I found it very quiet and fast after previous juicers I've used. Only problem is amount of space it actually takes up on kitchen worktop. A very good product.

The high-speed motor, twin-speeds and large shoot make this the best of many juicers that I've owned. I owned the equivalent one in the USA and used it for 3 years and probably doubled the amount of juicing I was doing due to its ease of use.
The only watch outs I would give are that a) rinse as soon as you can after juicing - it makes the clean up so much easier, and b) it's noisy, so if you do your juicing at unsociable hours and have neighbours or sleeping children then this isn't for you.

I've used a lot of juicers in my time. They've tended to involve a lot of prep time and even more cleaning time.

This juicer has been designed to reduce the time spent preparing and cleaning right down.

It juices whole apples! And is easy to clean when compared against other juicers.

If you don't have the juice catcher container pushed right up against the machine it can dribble a little, but if you just make sure it is right up against the machine then it's fine.

I shopped around quite a bit and thought this one was a winner, and after using it I know it is.

In other reviews some people said it was noisy. It's not that loud. Quieter than a food processor or blender I'd say, but obviously louder than a toaster!

A very good juicer all round.

Help! I can't stop juicing!

So quick, so easy and soooo quiet compared to past models! The only bummers are that it takes up a fair bit of counter space...and you have to clean it, but even that has been made as easy as it could possibly be, and considering how much time you save NOT chopping/preparing anything(except for peeling citrus) beforehand it's definately worth it! Try green apple, carrot, celery, beetroot, ginger and parsley juice for breakfast and see how much energy you have all morning!

Since purchasing the JE15 Juicer, I have used it almost everyday. The large chute is great for juicing apples and other whole fruits (especially carrots and fresh beetroot!) The two recipe booklets that we recieved with it have turned out to be fantastic- broadening our juice experiments and even providing us recipes for the unused pulp! After 3 weeks of continual use I have come to notice that the internal blade has lost alot of its original sharpness- therefore leaving pulp with more moisture than in the first couple of weeks, this does concern me as i bought the juicer with the notion that it would be apart of my kitchen for a long time- so should the blade continue to loose sharpness- it may need replacing. Other than that the juicer is fantastic! The cleaning is I guess just something you'd have to do with any machine of this type and seeing as there are only 5 components- its not too much of a chore- especially compared to what your getting.

by the reviews that one is definately in the top 2 ... after that you just guessssss. well i think we are reasonably happy with it - quick, not hard to clean up (my wife was scared of that !) i gotta say that the first few weeks it produced more juce then now ... mostly we use it for carrot /apple / orange juces - nice result and in average 1l of FRESH juce will cost you £1.3 much cheaper then innocent juces and definately more healthier. You would not buy miles better then this. my thoughts - buy just shop around !

"New 950W" motor. Is it tough enough?

I had a similar model a JE3 (an 850W JE15) for a couple of years. Gave it a lot of work, at least 1 litre of juice daily. The motor got louder and eventually burnt out. For a juicer of this type I would expect it to work for many years with only minor problems ie cracked jug etc. But a motor that is the heart of the machine, and one that cannot be replaced? (they dont supply spare motors) I had reservations about buying a JE15 for this reason. The motors a bit bigger 950W now, so maybe they've learnt their lesson?? Besides that the juicer is the best if you want about a litre a day from whole fruits. If youre planning on juicing on an industrial scale, I would be more confident with the stainless model with a 1500W motor for reliablity. I have seen these in use in Australia in juice bars, so they must be tough enough.
I juice apples celery ginger carrots tomatoes pears etc. Small lemons juice ok if packed with carrots, to stop them wizzing thru too quickly and therefore not extracting all the juice.
Slow speed for soft stuff, highspeed for hard stuff ie apples. In summary, theres nothing better for heavy home use. Once you get the hang of stripping it and washing it, its a doddle to use, very quick and the best juicer that I have been able to find on the market.

I read a review by a 'Juicing Expert' last year on a site dealing just with juicers and he said at the time that it was far better than the Jack LaLane juicer which is why I went for this one[...]. I am very impressed. My fav juice so far is carrot and celery. I was astounded that so much juice was extracted. Over 1 litre from one kilo of carrots and one head of celery!I would highly recommthis product.end

I purchased this device after studying literature and consumer reports that suggested it was a best performer for juicing fruit etc. I intended to take advantage of my bumper apple crop to make juice. I found that I could only process about 2lb before the initial fairly good clean flow turned to brown foam. The juice then had to be filtered and the machine disassembled and cleaned. The time and effort required to produce just one litre of useable juice was a waste of time. A most disappointing performer in my experience.I had assumed that this machine was just a cheaper plastic cased version of the otherwise identical [$] stainless steel 'professional' machine. Clearly I was wrong.

We have lots of Apple and Pear trees, cooking as well as desert. The cooking apples and pears can only be used cooked. With the juicer all apples and pears regardless of type can be made into a delicious drink. The drink is nutritious with no bitterness or sharpness.
So instead of having to find ways of storing and seeing lots of fruit go rotten, we juice them, fresh from the tree on a daily basis so there is no waste and it keeps us healthy at the same time.

If you want the best, then this is the one for you, you won't be disappointed.
