GREAT IN CURRENT ECONOMIC CLIMATE TO THINK AM MAKING CHEAP BUT HEALTHY YOGHURTS. A PAIN HAVING TO REMEMBER TO TURN MACHINE OFF - FIRST BATCH SEPARATED AS LEFT ON TOO LONG. GOING TO TRY A SEPARATE TIMER SWITCH.

This machine makes the most wonderful creamy yoghurt. If you use original soya milk mixed with chocolate soya milk and condensed milk, using live greek yoghurt as a starter, incubate for six hours, you will have a great tasting yoghurt. I just leave it overnight and yoghurt is ready for breakfast. Because the yoghurt is fresh it's much tastier than yoghurt you buy. You can use any type of milk but remember goat's yoghurt is the trickiest to make.
Great design, fantastic value.

Soya Yoghurt culture works in a very narrow temperature range, and this yoghurt maker heats within this range, so its fine for making soya yoghurt. I'm impressed with the number of design features there are included in such a low-priced piece of equipment. The glass jars are important as most people interested in healthy eating, also want to avoid plastic containers. I like this product!!!
I would buy this product again

It's a great product. Very easy to use so you can have nice yogurt in no time. The only thing that is missing is a timer so the yogurt maker can stop on its own when the yogurts are done.

Very easy to use, glass pots go in the dishwasher, simple on/off but I use it with a timer switch if I need to turn it off in the night. Light, easy to clean base.

Making the yogurt is so easy and if you use UHT milk there is no need for heating the mixture.
Even with skimmed milk you reach a creamy texture with a lovely natural flavour.

This is very easy to use and clean. The pots are glass and go in the dishwasher. You make the yogourt in the pots and could serve it in the pots too. You can go on and keep making batches from just your first pot. It is so easy and gives such good results my daughter has bought one too.

Does not deliver. The temperature cannot be controlled and the fixed temperature in the system is too high for the yogurt to settle. Unfortunately, the bacteria is literally cooked to death.

The youghurt maker is not supported by Moulinex in the UK. There is no UK address for service, and it does not come with any sort of recipe book - just a basic leaflet with minimal instruction. Presumably they are sourced from France.
Although yoghurt is very simple to make with it, some recipe-type information would be useful. With regard to service, there is little that can go wrong, and if the heater element eventually fails, it would probably be time for a new one.

This is easy to use and worth buying. Be aware that home made yoghurt is a bit thin and is not as good as commercial yogurt. As long as you're OK with this I'd recommend you buy it.
