Been using this for a month now and so far so good. Quick to install, but was on a new door anyway. Fingers registered simply and about 4 of us using it with no problems. Looks fit for the job.

2 main problems:
1. It can be fiddly to fit, but read the instructions 3 times first, get the right tools and then follow to the letter and most should be able to do it. Took me and my wife about 4 hours over 2 days. However I do believe they've made it as 'easy' as possible, even though it isn't.
2. BUT and it's a gigantic HUGE BUT.... DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE GLASS IN YOUR DOOR OR NEXT TO YOUR DOOR! The reason is nothing to do with breaking the glass, but on the back of the lock is a button and a lever which opens the lock (from the inside), so all a miscreant has to do to gain access to your home is break the glass and press the button or move the lever.
We've gone back to using 5-lever motise lock and keys and I have an unused expensive piece of junk metal sitting on the door now...
I'm Really Disappointed.
Does not read any finger of my 7 years old daughter. She has to use the key. As she was the reason to buy this lock, it is disappointing. My and my wife fingers reads on third attemt average. Needs some moisture to read fingerprint - problems with cold dry weather.
Compared to usual Abloy and other locks, it is huge on door. Also, safety not too good. After installing I know some easy way how to break it off the door and then open door with ease.
Installation had a problem with alarm trigger. This is too close to main opening, so little misalignement and a lot of work to solve it later. Internal handle gets too close to door frame, at lock opened and opening the door. Dangerous to you fingers. Finish, look materials are qood quality. So, you can purcase it - it works, but do not expect it to be problem free.
Looks good and when you hold it out of the box you can tell its heavyweight and solid, so not going to break off the door. Getting the fingerprints registered can be tricky at 1st but you get the hang of it. very pleased.
very fiddly to install, difficult to add or remove prints & does not always recognize prints! Total waste of time, effort & money.
Sensitive finger probe,
Great no keys to think about when you leave house,
family and friends can gain access easily,
takes one or two goes for finger recognition sometimes, especially when finger is wet from rain, this may be from distortion of fingerprint other than that its really good
I always lose my keys and also live in a house with a bunch of friends, so having a lock on the front door that uses finger prints is ideal. Overall, this is really easy to fit to the door and works perfectly. The batteries last a long time and its easy to use. The only thing I don’t like about it is that you have to lock the door when you close it behind you - this is an easy process, just lift and close the front flap, but it would be better if it knew you shut the door and then locked it self - like a yale type lock.
Not enough of a reason not to buy this though, work well, looks cool, very solidly built so it is secure. It also raises a few questions from mates when they see it for the 1st time!
