Works well and saves so moch time I wouldn't be with out it. Does not dock very well and either takes for ever or shuts down. Does not like wires.
To get the best from your Romba you must give it a name. Ours is called Jeff.
I have a back problem which made vacuuming difficult but the roomba has made me independant I cant praise it enough.
It is a neat little working robot.
Good enough for light to medium usage.
It amuses the kids, and I also like the music when you start the maching!
this is such a time saver for me, a busy working mum. I can be getting on with endless other jobs that need doing whilst the 'robot' cleans for me. It is brilliant. Would highly recommend it.
I am disabled and use this machine every day, sometimes twice a day. Previously I used a Dyson, and if I was well enough, I maybe vacuumed once a week as it was so heavy. Sometimes only once a month. This is a gem, cleans all the bits I can see, goes from hard floor to rugs with ease. I can turn it on and go shopping. Come back and the lounge is immaculate! I just go round the edges with a brush once a week. I even vacuumed my sofa with it!
[...] Product very good, a great invention. Please let me know when you get the IRobot Scouba.
It's quite entertaining with its busy demeanour and cheerful little beeps. It doesn't actually appear to be picking much up until you come to empty its bin, and you realise that its frequent passes mean that it picks up more than you might have expected. The instructions aren't too clear about how to find the filter but once you know it's easy. I find it gets "stuck" more often than I would expect and therefore I don't leave it running when out of the house. Not cheap but worth the money.
I wanted a roomba since I first heard about them, but was slightly dubious.
I haven't looked back since I got it, and members of my family have since purchased roomba's after seeing mine in action.
I love my Roomba. Of course it's not a substitute for my powerful Dyson but it is a really useful addition. I mainly use it in the bedrooms where it efficiently vacuums the whole area including under the beds, which is a real bonus. It does a surprisingly good job as you will see when you look at the contents of the dust compartment. It picks up hair and fluff efficiently with its rotating brush and cleans to the edge of the room. I can switch it on before I go to work and it will beaver away until it has covered the whole room. I've had relatively few problems with it... It occasionally gets full and stops (particularly if you have a new, and therefore more fluffy carpet) and very occasionally gets stuck if you've left something in it's way for instance but other than that I think it does rather well. I can usually do two bedrooms on one full charge, this will obviously depend on the size of your rooms. Re-charging usually takes an overnight charging session. Emptying is very easy...just unfasten the pod and tip the contents into the bin. It's great for keeping rooms tidy in between major cleans.
best thing - drinking coffee while rooms are being cleand;
worse thing - sometime needs a bit of attension while cleaning difficult places like children room :)
virtual wall would be helpfull, with this set not added - my bet thoe
Pro's Great vacuum cleaner, picks up almost everything even along the walls. Battery last a long time.
Con's noisy, can get caught up on electrical power chords and can occasionally get stuck.
Works fine, although the battery charge doesn't last long when it's not plugged in. Very nice to be able to switch it on, leave the room and then come back later to a spick and span carpet.
But you have to take it apart to clean it with a specially provided little knife that cuts hairs and gunk out of its inner workings. That's a pain and reduces how often the little fella gets used in our house.
No more hoovering! Just move obstacles out of the way, set it going, and go out for a coffee. I love this device, it saves me heaps of time and as I have a wrist injury it cleans the carpets and wooden floors without aggravating my injury. It picks up heaps of dust, hair and dirt from carpets; better than my miele vacuum cleaner. I wish I had bought the beamer that stops irobot from going where you don't want it to go, as I do find myself constructing barriers to keep it away from complex train sets my son has built on the floor. The down side is that it only does two rooms before it needs to re-charge, so I wish the battery lasted longer. It does take longer to hoover a room than you would do yourself, but when it is finished with a room it will look immaculately clean. It can't get into corners very well so you may still have to hoover those occasionally. I really recommend this product, both for time saving efficiency and for injured wrists!
Saves me having to move furniture around. Does as good a job as my upright without any effort. So much easier to clean than the previous model.
this vacuum cleaner is a life saver. if you are a busy mum like me, working and doing a degree you will find that this product is one of the best things you've ever bought. it is a little slow on the recharge time but that can be forgiven when you look around and see what a good job its done. when this one wears out i'm definately replacing it! i use it on long pile carpet and hard and tiled floors and it works well on all of them, i also have a dog and it copes with the dog hair absolutely fine. i do clean the filters more than is recommended but only because of the dog hairs.
having said all that it doesn't stop you from having to get your normal hoover out,you still need to have a good hoover round with your normal hoover but it does keep on top of the dirt for you.
This is used for every floor in the house.
It is great for people who have back problems.
We have had one problem, and this was rectified swiftly, pick-up service within one day, returned within four days at no charge( and I live on the West coast of Scotland!)
The Roomba 2 is like having a flatmate who cleans the house when yr out at work.In fact I gave him a name, Vic (the Vac)and he sits quitely under the stairs, recooperating his energy, never complaining, waiting to burst into activity when you need him. Even bought my "liddle" old mum one and she loves it. One suggestion my mum had, as she has difficulty bending down, is to add an attachment to grab it and carry it without bending down. This may sound like a made up review, BUT IT'S TRUE.
